Enrollment vs. Registering

Whether you choose to enroll or register with Kelowna Christian Open School, we are here to support and encourage you with your educational goals.  What that support looks like will depend upon your decision to either enroll or register.

As an enrolled student with a DL (distributed learning) school, we ensure provincial learning outcomes are met for each grade level.  There are many creative and exciting ways to accomplish this, and our curriculum consultants are here to help with this.

COMMITMENT OF SUPERVISING PARENT/GUARDIAN(S)

I/We understand, agree with and support the educational philosophy as outlined in the school handbook.

I/We agree to submit samples of evidences of learning and timetables to the contact teacher  as required (currently once per month).

I/We certify that the learning samples and student-related work delivered to the teacher are true evidence of my/our child's
       learning.

I/We commit to working with school staff to develop and follow a student learning plan that meets Ministry of Education
       requirements.

I/We will forward the following documents to the school:
         A copy of my child's birth certificate (citizen documents if applicable)     Legal Residency Form

I/We authorize Open School to use my student's information in the form of photograph, name, school
        work, comments and testimonial for educational and promotional purposes on behalf of Open School.

       Assessment (FSA) testing as scheduled by the Ministry of Education.
